Storyville Baton Rouge Shirt of the Week…

…is Red Stick Roller! We can thank Sieur d’Iberville for Baton Rouge’s name. While exploring up the Mississippi River in 1699, he came across the hunting grounds of the Houma and Bayou Goula tribes which was separated by a cypress stick stained with animal blood.  He called the stick and area “le baton rouge” and it just kind of stuck.
